Detailer Uses ProMAXX Products to Put A Shine on His Boat’s Finish

ProMAXX Marine's Four-Professional Marine Care Compounds keep Tom's vessel shining the brightest in the marina.

Taking Pride in Boat’s Appearance

Tom R., a boat owner for more than 25 years, loves to be on the water. When he puts his vessel in at various marinas during summer trips around lake Michigan, his boat’s appearance is a special source of pride for him.

“It’s like showing off a classic Ford Mustang at a car show,” he said. “I want people walking along the dock to see the time and effort I put into making my boat shine.”

Professional-Marine Care Formula

To get that special gleam in his gelcoat, Tom started using ProMAXX Marine’s Professional-Grade Marine Care Compounds to clean, refinish and restore his boat. However, not every boat starts the season out in great condition.

That is why ProMAXX Marine recently introduced Its NEW Phz_0 Heavy Compound, expanding its line of professional-grade marine care compounds to four different approaches. Phz_0’s aggressive solution is for vessels that have heavy UV damage and oxidation.

“Phz_0 cuts the deepest while removing heavy dirt deposits and oxidation, quickly restoring the boats finish,” said ProMAXX Marine President Jeffrey Del Rossa.

“And, even though it is formulated to remove scratches and more, it is extremely user-friendly. You’ll get an incredible gloss without the headaches of dust, slinging, sticking, or gummed up and blocked application pads.”

Synthetic Pellets Are Better Than Pumice

Pumice-based products are made up of ground lava rock, like the materials found on sandpaper. They grind down and deteriorate finishes. ProMAXX Marine’s compounds use synthetic plastic pellets which are softer than the gelcoat they polish.

“You don’t need to use all four products, just pick one that best represents the current state of your boat and the level of protection you wish to obtain. I enjoy using Phz_1 because it creates less dust, less mess and cleans up easily,” Tom said. “It is far superior to cutting polish compounds I’ve used in the past.”

Phz_1 is engineered to break down quickly so it will never scratch the gelcoat or reduce its thickness like Pumice based products.  It is appropriate for most vessels with seasonal wear.

ProMAXX Marine Products For Winter Detailing

Tom has owned several boats in his lifetime, and he currently runs a Carver 396 out of a marina in Muskegon, Michigan. During the winter months, he puts his boat in an indoor storage facility where he preps it for the spring launch. Tom details other boats as well, and he uses ProMAXX Marine products because he wants the best results for his family and friends.

Complementing Phz_1, Phz_2 is a synthetic polymer coating that protects a boat’s finish from UV damage, acid rain, salt water, and other contaminants. And, combining elements of Phz_1 and Phz_2, Mnt_3 is a one-step application that includes a lightweight, detailing glaze to clean, brighten, and protect a vessel’s finish.

Goes on Easy, Comes Off Easier

“These compounds go on easy and come off even easier,” Tom said. “They lay down a shine that lasts long. I recommend ProMAXX Marine products to anyone who is serious about their boat’s appearance. And, they’re a great gift for boaters in your life.”
